EHR Financing Programs Available
A major element in the adoption of electronic health records systems by Vermont physician practices – financing to purchase computerized systems – has been enhanced with the creation of a loan program endorsed by VITL.
Vermont physician practices can apply for loans through participating lenders to finance the purchase and implementation of electronic health records systems. Various financing options will be available to qualified applicants from lenders directly and through partnerships with local state and federal agencies.
Participating lenders will accept applications for loans and work with physician practices to structure appropriate financing solutions. The loan program is structured to provide flexibility for physicians, and may incorporate both the hard and soft costs of transitioning to an electronic platform.
