VendorsVITL is working with leading vendors to bring health information exchange and cutting-edge data services to physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers in Vermont. Our partners include:
VITL's primary contractor is GE Healthcare, located in South Burlington, Vt. GE Healthcare was chosen after an extensive RFP process, which generated proposals from 15 interested vendors. GE Healthcare was one of four finalists.
GE Healthcare is helping VITL rollout a medication history service to hospital emergency departments statewide. GE Healthcare is also providing the data infrastructure for the Vermont health information exchange network and the Vermont Department of Health's Chronic Care Information System.
VITL's health information exchange uses GE Healthcare's data center located in Vermont's Chittenden County. The data center meets the highest level of security in the industry.
By working with GE Healthcare, VITL has access to experts who are working at the national level to develop standards for the health information technology industry.

HLN Consulting, LLC is a health information technology services company whose mission is to provide a wide range of technology consulting services to public health agencies and their not-for-profit partners; develop and support robust technical solutions addressing pressing public health needs; and facilitate the collaboration between health care and public health communities necessary to successfully exchange data and use information technology to support each others' missions.
HLN provides consulting and expertise to VITL's planning and operations through its staff of technical and policy specialists. Projects include development of the Vermont Health Information Techhnology Plan, Vermont's participation in the Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Collaboration, and VITL health information exchange services planning and delivery.
