Programmer Analyst

Shashvati's career in computer science began with a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Biju Pattnaik University of Technology, and a Master in Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Utkal University in India. She was employed as a software engineer at Ntt Data in Hyderabad, India, prior to assisting the Acadaware Clinical Education, Cleveland, OH in implementing systems for data collection and management. Shashvati also volunteered with the Jeanette Rankin Peace Center in Missoula, Montana, to develop a library application for their Peace Library, and worked as an information technology contractor for Montec in Missoula. She also develop several apps including one for grocery budgeting, baking recipes with instructions, and to check popular and top-rated movies, along with a hospital management system application.

Security Analyst

Jonathan joined VITL in April 2016 after working as an information technology consultant for a pediatrician’s office in South Burlington. His work included risk assessment and mitigation, as well as providing technical support during the transition from paper to electronic medical records. Knapp graduated from Champlain College with a degree in computer and digital forensics, and a specialization in information assurance.

Director of Technology

Damon Lease is a professional in information technology and has held a variety of roles with over 30 years of experience in the field. Most recently Damon was the chief technology officer, among other roles, for Patient Engagement Systems (PES) over a period of 11 years, with full responsibility for PES’s hardware and software architecture. Prior to his time at PES, Damon held several positions in healthcare and IT, including clinical data analyst (with a focus on LEAN – the Toyota Production System) at Gifford Medical Center, and before that as a senior web developer and team leader at Fletcher Allen Health Care (now the University of Vermont Medical Center). Damon brings extensive experience with health data exchange from his prior positions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Computer Science minor from Bucknell University.

Database Administrator/Analyst

Stuart brings 30 years of application software and database design and development experience to VITL with his hire in August 2013. Prior to joining VITL, he acquired broad exposure to the software development lifecycle during lengthy stints at GE Healthcare IT, Unisys Corporation, Dartmouth College, BRC Vision Care, and independent consulting. At those institutions, he often performed the role of technical lead in the development of core products or new product lines. Over the past 15 years, he has primarily focused on data warehousing for health care. Stuart received his bachelor's degree in mathematics from Dartmouth College.

Programmer Analyst

Nicolas joined VITL after working as a database administrator at MyWebGrocer in Winooski, VT, where he also worked as an operations team intern, operations specialist and technical engineer. His background includes database security analysis, database operations and server administration, and he was also founder of a company that developed web and mobile applications. Nicolas attended Chesire Academy where he studied computer programming, and attended Champlain College with a major in software engineering.

Infrastructure Manager

Justin joined VITL in December 2015 after working in the information technology field for 15 years, including technical roles in systems engineering, database and applications administration and web development. Prior to VITL he worked at Keurig Green Mountain for four years as a disaster recovery engineer, and as a systems infrastructure manager. Justin graduated from Champlain College with a Master of Science in Managing Innovation in Information Technology. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Services with a minor in Computer Science.
