Green Mountain Care Board Presentation Set for February 4

In preparation for a Green Mountain Care Board (GMCB) review of VITL’s budget and activities, a comprehensive presentation will be given by CEO John K. Evans to the board on February 4, 2016. The presentation will build from previous meetings with the GMCB on November 5, 2015 and December 17, 2015, and will provide insight into VITL’s plans for Fiscal Year 2017 which begins on July 1.

VITL will outline its current and planned activities in each of the following areas:

  • Operation and expansion of the Vermont Health Information Exchange (VHIE).
  • Point of Care Services, such as VITLAccess which is a secure provider portal to the VHIE.
  • Clinical Data Management Services which support clients’ needs for clinical data analysis.
  • Data Quality Services that assist providers in improving the quality of data contributed to the VHIE.
  • Internal business and operational processes.
  • Financial overview of the expenses associated with these activities.

Under Act 54 of 2015, the GMCB has the authority to approve the budget for the core activities designated by statute that involve public funding.
