Clinical Data Quality Specialist

Job Description: 

Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc. (VITL) has an immediate opening for a Clinical Data Quality Specialist. This position reports to the Director of Client Services and is responsible for providing consulting services, new product and service training, and new service implementation support for VITL clients.

Client-facing responsibilities include:

  • Meaningful Use consulting.
  • Security risk assessment consulting.
  • Workflow assessment consulting.
  • VITLAccess service implementation with clients.
  • Consultative sales of VITL services.
  • VITL product and service training internally and externally with clients.
  • Client relationship management.
  • Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to optimize the collection of data from clinical systems for the purposes of health information exchange.
  • Analyzing data quality reports for anomalies and opportunities to improve the collection of clinical data for the purposes of health information exchange.

Results-oriented candidates must demonstrate proficient knowledge in the areas of Meaningful Use, security risk assessment and data quality analysis. Candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health IT or similar related field.
  • Expertise in electronic health record templates and use of health data.
  • Knowledge of Meaningful Use requirements and reporting
  • Health industry certification.
  • Three to five years of experience in client relationship management.
  • A passion to be involved in health care reform.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple client accounts and related projects while managing to deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, “teach and learn” culture.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the state of Vermont (50-75%).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HL7 is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Vermont Blueprint and ACO clinical quality measures a plus.
