VITLAccess delivers all that. And more.
As a health care provider, you know how important it is to have information about your patients from hospitals, labs, and other sources. You also know that it can be time-consuming and difficult to assemble this data.
VITLAccess provides a secure, patient-centered view of clinical data available through the Vermont Health Information Exchange (VHIE), which makes gathering up-to-date patient information from multiple sources fast and easy.
What information is available with VITLAccess?
- Lab test results
- Radiology exam reports
- Patient demographics
- Transcribed reports
- Medication histories
- Clinical summaries
Independent labs are providing test results as well.
What is needed to use VITLAccess?
A health care organization needs to sign a VITL Services Agreement to participate in the Vermont Health Information Exchange. Each authorized user within the organization must have a unique user name and password. A signed patient consent form is required to view a patient’s information in VITLAccess.
Why should I use VITLAccess?
- For new patients, use VITLAccess to search and retrieve records of previous care at other Vermont health care organizations, and then add them to your own chart.
- For existing patients, use VITLAccess to learn about care your patients have received from other providers, some of which you may not have known about.
You can provide safer care by accessing up-to-date medication lists, and better coordinate your patients’ care by having a more complete view of their entire health record.
