VITL Appoints Operations Data Analyst

BURLINGTON, VT –Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc. (VITL) has named Michael Tosolini as its new operations data analyst. In this position, Tosolini is responsible for analysis of health data from the Vermont Health Information Exchange (VHIE), the statewide data network operated by VITL. He will also support application development, maintenance and technical activity for interface connections to the VHIE.

Tosolini was hired full-time at VITL after working temporarily at the organization as a health data analyst. He brings 15 years of mixed industrial/academic experience, including laboratory technician in research and development at Unilever in Connecticut. While attending the University of New Haven, Tosolini was a researcher and teaching assistant who designed RNA and DNA extraction procedures for Lyme disease research, and instructed undergraduate students in biological laboratory practices.

Tosolini earned a Master of Engineering in Bioinformatics from The University of Illinois, a Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of New Haven, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Western Connecticut State University. He lives in Burlington, VT and enjoys kayaking, fishing, hiking, cooking and gaming.
